Ad Impression

What is an Ad Impression?

An ad impression is a metric used in digital advertising to measure the number of times an ad is displayed on an app, game, or website. Each time an ad is loaded on a user’s screen, it counts as one impression regardless of whether the user engages with it (e.g. by clicking or tapping).

This metric is particularly important in brand awareness campaigns where the goal is to maximize visibility.

It’s important to also note that not all impressions are created equal. Factors such as ad placement and viewability play a significant role in determining the actual value of an impression.
