What is Cost Per Sales (CPS)?

Cost per sales (CPS) is a performance-based pricing model where advertisers pay only when a sale is generated. CPS is popular in affiliate marketing and e-commerce, where the advertiser pays an affiliate or publisher based on the number of sales generated. For example, an ecommerce advertiser may pay a publisher a commission for an initial purchase made by a user who clicks on their ad.
