What is Fill Rate?

Fill rate is the percentage of ad requests that are served with an actual advertisement. Fill rate impacts eCPM, and ultimately, the total revenue generated by a publisher or app developer.

To calculate fill rate, divide the total number of ad impressions by the total number of ad requests:

Fill Rate = Ad Impressions / Ad Requests

Different ad units and ad networks have varied fill rates. For example, video and banner ad networks tend to have significantly different fill rates.
